HISTORY WITH DOGS
In 1974 we purchased our first show Schip, joined Richland Kennel Club and began showing in both obedience and conformation. Since then we've shown Schips throughout the U.S. and British Columbia while moving every 2 1/2 years before Grant retired from the Army. Now settled in Olympia, Washington, we have been members of Nisqually Kennel Club, Schipperke Club of Puget Sound, Washington State Obedience and Training Club and, since 1974, the Schipperke Club of America (SCA).
Grant served two terms as President of Nisqually Kennel Club (NKC), an AKC member club located in Olympia, Washington. He chaired four NKC all breed shows and obedience trials and also served over the years in most other show committee positions. NKC shows draw over 2000 entries. Grant served four years on SCA's Board. He was also president and a founding member of Schipperke Club of Puget Sound.
Anita is an internationally known illustrator, sculptor and painter. She has won Best in Show in Germany under four fine arts judges, among many other awards. Anita was also a founding member for the Schipperke Club of Puget Sound and served as both Vice President and Treasurer.
